Terms of use

Folio is in preparation. These terms describe the planned public service; paid subscriptions are not yet offered.

Your content

Import only content you have permission to use. You retain your rights in your documents. Local document access does not require a paid subscription.

Premium speech processing

Generating premium speech sends selected text through Folio to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Audio is cached privately for replay. Cached audio may be removed by device cache management or server retention; recreating it uses the new speech allowance.

Plans and allowance

Folio Premium monthly and yearly plans each include 100,000 characters of newly generated speech per monthly allowance period. Unused allowance does not roll over. The yearly plan is paid for a full year. Local prices and billing period are displayed by Apple before purchase. A standalone one-time 5,000-character sample does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.

Renewal and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through Apple. Manage your subscription in your Apple account settings. Apple handles purchase billing and refund requests.

Account deletion

Deleting a Folio account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Local documents remain on the device unless removed by you. See the privacy policy for account-linked cloud data handling.

Availability

Speech generation requires a supported voice and an internet connection. Service outages or exhausted allowance may temporarily prevent new generation. Folio may enforce abuse prevention limits.
